The “Mare Monti” excursion is a classic among our tours.
The tour proposes, during a day, the visit, by jeep or trekking, to the most suggestive naturalistic areas of Etna and Acitrezza, where we’ll visit the Faraglioni of Cyclops by boat.

The most interesting points of the tour.
Excursion (in trekking) through the “Parco dell’Etna”.
It’s possible to choose the itineraries according to ability and age of the excursionist.
If a volcanic eruption is active in Valle del Bove we’ll try to go near it (if it’s possible and careful!).
ITINERARIES:
Trekking excursion “Valle del Bove”: 7,5 km – 3 hours – medium difficulty.
Trekking excursion “extinct craters natural path”: 2 hours – easy.
Excursion by car (on request or for bad weather): volcanological museum; visit to touristic station that was destroyed by the eruption of 2001-2002; visit to Silvestri craters; visit to rustic house that was partialy covered by lava flow.
Etna is rich in caves generated by numerous eruption. We’ll go down to the volcano’s infernals provided with speleologist safety helmets and lamplights to learn the formation of these attractive natural monuments.
At the lunch time we’ll offer you a meal of local products: salami, cheese, vegetables in oil, home-made bread and genuine sicilian wine.
In th afternoon we’ll go to Acitrezza to visit, by a fisher boat, Lachea island and Ulisses’ Farglioni (Journey time: 1 hour).
NECESSARY EQUIPMENT: trekking shoes, k-way, water, cap.

Visit to wine-producing Gambino (tasting of 5 wines and typical products): 15€ to person.
Visit to the summit of Volcano (2900 m) by cableway and jeep.Cost to estimate.

Groups of 9-12 persons: 50€ (to person).
Groups of 3-8 persons: 60€ (to person).
2 persons: 80€ (to person).
Reductions for larger groups and kids till 14 years of age.
