The MezzaLuna cave, from the beautiful crater of the same name that is located a short distance away, is a small cavity accessible from an irregular accumulation of rocks that have a crack consisting of the collapse of the vault. The cave develops partly upstream and partly downstream and seems to have a greater development than that indicated, however it is not easy to navigate. The easily visitable part consists of about ten meters. It is reported in the census both for its particular morphology, for the ease of reaching it (about 20 meters from the road to the east, at the point where it forms a 180° horseshoe) and because it could constitute an excellent emergency shelter. Not far away, to the north, about twenty meters away there is another small cave inside a lava channel of a few meters (about 8), also good for an emergency shelter. The cavity is probably known to forest rangers or shepherds in the area.
