In the winter Etna is almost always covered by a thick blanket of snow, therefore it is not always possible to hike along the nature trails of the Etna Park. Snowshoes, thanks to their ability to "float" on the snow that allows you to walk on the snowy blanket, represent a fantastic alternative to discover the trails of our volcano. The excursion includes the journey of nature trails with the Snowshoeing to help you discover and appreciate places of particular natural value within the Etna Park reserve. Our guides, to enrich your walk, will introduce you to the countless natural and volcanological aspects of the most important volcano in Europe, with the added charm of the snow cover on lava flows to enjoy unique views. The contrasts that the volcano offers are truly incredible especially in winter. Among the recommended itineraries crossing the white snow, we propose the lava flows and lateral craters or a visit to Valle del Bove, snow permitting of course. The passage through the enchanting pine and birch forests etnei and the view of the volcano that dominates the landscape. It is expected to last 3 hours and have a medium difficulty, variable based on the age and level of preparation of the participants. Snowshoe excursions now include a shuttle service with 4×4 vehicles or winter tires from our meeting point. No worries about having to put chains on, find parking, queue at rentals or other inconveniences.
