The Etna Tour allows you to visit some of the most suggestive places of the volcano starting from your accommodation in Taormina (or surrounding areas) which is about 1 hour away. The excursion takes place using 4×4 vehicles for travel between the planned stages. You will visit the Etna park and some of the most scenically interesting places of this wonderful volcano, including the secondary buttonhole craters which you can reach with an easy trek, the most recent lava flows and, weather permitting, you cannot miss a visit to the immense Valley of the Ox. You will also explore a lava flow cave equipped with helmet and speleologist lights. If you are trekking lovers, you can request to do a mainly walking itinerary to discover the less touristy places of the volcano.
The package includes a typical lunch at a farmhouse where you will taste a selection of typical products accompanied by good Etna wine. If you are a lover of this drink, it is possible to integrate a wine tasting experience with 4 Etna wines. After the gastronomic stop, it is possible to integrate the excursion with a visit to the magnificent natural site of Gorges of Alcantara, a canyon of volcanic origin that developed thousands of years ago. This visit extends the excursion by approximately 1,30 hours.

Pick up from your hotel
This excursion is the only one among our proposals that includes the pick up directly from your hotel in Taormina or nearby tourist areas. The transfer will be with 4x4 vehicles or only in case you choose a trekking itinerary with other more comfortable vehicles.

Excursion on Etna of the most suggestive points
Our 4x4 itinerary divided into stages allows you to visit the most famous and unmissable places of the volcano during the morning: the lateral craters, the ancient and recent lava flows, a volcanic cave with lights and a speleological helmet, the suggestive Valle del Bove.

Food and wine stop
At lunchtime, the tour will move to a farm on our volcano selected by us where a visit to the vineyard and a tasting of Sicilian products accompanied by the wine produced in the vineyard are planned. Upon request, you can also integrate a wine experience of 4 Etna and Sicilian wines.

Visit to the Alcantara Gorges (on request Extra)
On this tour, if you want to make the experience even more complete, you can add a visit to the Alcantara Gorges, before returning to Taormina in the afternoon.
