The Etna Tour allows you to visit some of the volcano's most evocative sites, departing from your accommodation in Taormina (or nearby), approximately an hour away. The excursion uses minivans for transportation between scheduled stops. You'll visit the Etna National Park and some of this magnificent volcano's most scenic spots, including the secondary button craters , which you'll reach via an easy hike, the most recent lava flows , and, weather permitting, a visit to the immense Valle del Bove. You'll also explore a lava flow cave, equipped with a helmet and speleologist's lights. If you're a trekking enthusiast, you can request a mostly walking itinerary to discover the volcano's less touristy spots.
The package includes a traditional lunch at a farmhouse where you'll enjoy a selection of local products paired with fine Etna wine. If you're a wine lover, you can also include a wine tasting experience with four Etna wines. After the food stop, you can complement the excursion with a visit to the magnificent natural site of the Alcantara Gorges , a volcanic canyon formed thousands of years ago. This visit extends the excursion by approximately 1.5 hours.

Pick up from your hotel
This excursion is the only one among our proposals that includes the pick up directly from your hotel in Taormina or nearby tourist areas. The transfer will be with 4x4 vehicles or only in case you choose a trekking itinerary with other more comfortable vehicles.

Excursion on Etna of the most suggestive points
Our 4x4 itinerary divided into stages allows you to visit the most famous and unmissable places of the volcano during the morning: the lateral craters, the ancient and recent lava flows, a volcanic cave with lights and a speleological helmet, the suggestive Valle del Bove.

At lunchtime, the tour will move to a farm on our volcano selected by us where a visit to the vineyard and a tasting of Sicilian products accompanied by the wine produced in the vineyard are planned. Upon request, you can also integrate a wine experience of 4 Etna and Sicilian wines.
