Description
Excursions to the craters will allow you to reach the summit area of Etna at approximately 3300 meters high. These are trekking excursions that require physical commitment both due to the type of terrain in which you move, but above all due to the high altitude to which not everyone is accustomed. Therefore, if you are not perfectly fit, these excursions are not recommended. But for those who decide to tackle this type of excursion, the effort of the climb will be rewarded by the vision of the summit craters, where it will be possible to breathe the persistent emission of vapors and gases, touch the volcanic bombs and fumaroles with the colorful concretions of minerals. which form and change appearance daily and sometimes admire the eruptive activity from one of the vents with small explosions. In addition to this show, it will be possible to fill your eyes with the view of the panorama towards half of Sicily. What should i bring?
Trekking shoes are mandatory for this excursion. Also recommended: poles, sunglasses, windproof jacket / sweatshirt, water. If you need it, you can take advantage of the rental where you will find shoes, jackets, sticks and more.
